Rusty Bridge Beautification Project
Donation protected
The old railway bridge over the Hammonds Plains Road that serves as part of the Rails to Trails has become known as the “Rusty Bridge” and it is hoped will soon become known as the welcoming entrance to St. Margaret’s Bay with a new mural that has been constructed to cover the width of the bridge on both sides.
The St. Margaret's Bay Chamber of Commerce has been working with the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation (TIR) to have the mural installed. It has been a long undertaking to get to these final stages financially with donations being raised from many sources.

Thank you for visiting sign:
The most expensive part is upon us, for the installation procedure which includes sign erection and traffic control measures totalling $15,000.
We are now looking to the Bay community members and businesses for support in this project, which will serve to benefit the entire Bay area.
Please help us as we work to welcome thousands of visitors from all over the world each year with a beautiful mural that proudly represents our community.
