Help Build Giant Fisherman Sculpture!
My name is Jeff Jackson. I’m a 10+ year resident in a booming coastal village named Bay View in northern Ohio. The old bridge/fishing pier in our village has been neglected for too long. The whole village is shining yet we still have this forgotten gem right on our main drag. With the restrictions on how the land can be developed our options are slim, but I have found an answer. A 23’ fisherman sculpture. I’m not looking to profit on this project, just trying to find a solution for fixing an awesome piece of public land. This sculpture will be the anchor in cleaning up the whole area. People will come from near and far to see this giant, and in return pitstop at our local businesses on their way in and out and spread news of our cool village. Everyone who donates will have their name permanently recognized at the site. But I need your help. I have a plan in place, but need money to execute it. We’re going to make this happen in 3 phases. Phase 1 will be obtaining certified design and engineering drawings of a small scale model I made for the cost of $5800. Phase 2 will be fabricating the giant version at an estimated cost of $15,000-$20,000. Phase 3 will be installation, donor recognition, and all other components to complete the project estimated at $20,000. Please Help!
Special thanks to the nonprofit coordinating on this project; The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council. I’m blessed to have these art believers helping me. Also Brad L for believing in this project and not turning me away at the birth of this idea.
