US HWY 377S in Edwards County, Texas, Deputy Adrian Ruiz was
struck by a third vehicle while he was out of his patrol unit.
Deputy Ruiz was life flighted to San Antonio. Known injuries at this
time include broken femur and elbow, severe bruising and concussion.
Neck, back, and head injuries are still being evaluated at this time.
Deputy Ruiz and his wife Julie are the parents to six children.
