BBG Birth Empowerment Fund: "Own Your Crown"
Donation protected
Birth by Grace Midwifery Services, LLC (BBG) is raising money to continue to use our platforms to educate and inform women of their bodies and birth options. To raise awareness about the many benefits of midwifery care, encourage women and families to be their own best advocates, call out mistreatment and neglect, and demand the respectful and safe care they deserve. We desire to open a dynamic resource center which will provide classes and workshops encompassing prenatal and lactation education, labor & delivery and postpartum support and mental health resources offered in collaboration with community-based childbirth professionals, both in-person and online. We aim to equip mothers and families with the proper tools and evidence based information necessary to help navigate through their own, personal birth journeys. Film and platforms such as social media and other web based tools will continue to be utilized as a platform for families to share their personal birth stories to inspire and empower others to own their birth experiences, both locally and nationwide.
BBG is located in Georgia, a state that has the second highest maternal mortality rate in the US. BBG recognizes the problem that plagues the maternal healthcare system and vows to do its part to eliminate the racial disparates in maternal and infant mortality rates. Black and Brown women are 6x more likely to die of childbirth related complications, experience unfavorable birth outcomes such as unnecessary interventions, including cesarean sections which have the potential to result in death. Birth by Grace believes that every mother deserves a healthy, non-biased, respectful and safe childbirth experience.
Christine Taylor, CNM is the midwife and owner of Birth by Grace Midwifery Services, LLC. She provides comprehensive midwifery care including home birth services, to families in Georgia. Read About her on our website www.birthbygracemidwifery.com !
Please donate today and watch how we, together, will help change the culture of birth, one family at a time.
