My name is Brittany Owens and I am the owner of BB’s Heaven on Earth Home Care Services LLC. I created this home care agency as a memorial to my wonderful grandparents who raised me (pictured below). Neither one ever had to go to a nursing home and my home care agency helps others to be able to live out their lives in the comfort of their homes as well.

Now, I have created BB’s Home Away From Home Adult Day Center to give seniors a safe environment to socialize and receive physical and mental support to remain as healthy and active as they deserve to be. My great-grandfather (papa), Ben Dulin, was 93 when he passed away and every day , he enjoyed going to McDonald’s with his friends to socialize and have breakfast. It seemed so tedious but now, I understand the importance for him to maintain these essential social interactions. It promoted so much independence and brought so much joy to him. My grandmother (nannie), Beverly Owens, enjoyed going out into the community to fellowship daily as well. She loved to go to Walmart and shop. I always wondered how she could spend hours in a store but it was the interactions with others that she loved so much.

I recently purchased the old Cityview Christian Center located in the Riverside community.
Ironically, this is an underprivileged community where my grandparents grew up. Purchasing this building meant so much to me because this is a faith based organization and the history behind the building with it once being a church; in addition to it being in the same neighborhood in which my grandparents practically lived their entire lives.

I would like to emphasize this being a faith-based organization. We serve our God that is so forgiving and loves us all unconditionally. This center is intended to provide CHRIST-LIKE love and support to God’s beautiful people. Let’s face it, our seniors have lived long lives and it is nice to dedicate something so magnificent to show them the love, guidance, wisdom and support that they have showed us over the years.

Unfortunately, our nation is in a global pandemic and everyone can use a safe environment to enjoy some since of normalcy. We will ensure the proper Covid-19 prevention protocols are strictly enforced so that our seniors are healthy both physically and mentally. The center is big enough to provide plenty of room for social distancing.

This is a nonprofit organization that is geared towards giving seniors a place to come to without having to worry about the cost. This center will be completely FREE to those who qualify. We will also provide transportation to and from the center, as well as outings, for FREE.

I am asking for donation support to make this a reality for the elders who have paved a way for us.
