BC Foundation Faculty/Staff Relief
Tax deductible
So many faculty and staff of Butte College have lost their homes and all their possessions in the deadly Camp Fire. We set up this account to collect tax-deductible donations that the Butte College Foundation will use to help faculty and staff who are victims of the Camp Fire. Funds will be used for fire relief at the discretion of the Butte College Foundation. We appreciate any help provided. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 and has a long history of helping Butte College attain its mission. More information on the Foundation can be found at http://www.butte.edu/foundation/. If you prefer to send a check, please mail it to Butte College Foundation, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville, CA 95965. Add "Faculty/Staff" Fire Relief Fund" to the memo line. 1. Who you are and where you’re from
I serve as the Butte College Superintendent/President
2. Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for
The parties we are raising funds for are faculty/staff of Butte College who have been affected by the Camp fire, with first focus on those who have lost their homes.
3. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
Our plan is to verify those employees who have lost their homes, and then pass the funds raised directly to them to help with their recovery expenses. A small committee is being set up of employee group leaders to help manage this process in an equitable manner.
4. Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies
As the beneficiaries are yet to be verified (as of this writing, we know of 31 employees who have reported their home is "Confirmed Lost" and 56 who have reported their home is "Presumed Lost" in the fire), the committee will work with the college to withdraw the funds raised and get checks directly to the employees as soon as practicable.
