Love/Support for Melissa Brand

Aloha!
A dear friend of ours, Melissa Brand, is, and always will be, a member of our ohana. For many years, Melissa and her husband, Jason, and their beautiful son were all active members of their church community, the deaf community, and the military community. Despite moving back to Pennsylvania, Melissa has remained a loving and supportive friend to many. With all that she does for others, we would like to rally support for her and her family during their time of need. Melissa is going through some tough times as she was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She has been in the hospital for the past three weeks and is not sure when she will be able to go home. Being in the hospital, away from her son and husband, has been emotionally and financially difficult. We would like to raise money for the following reasons: to send her some Hawaiian care packages (delicious cookies, candles, lotions, decorations for her hospital room, etc.), some cards to lift her spirit, and the remainder of the money raised will be sent to the Brands to help alleviate financial stresses incurred during her time off of work.
