Be a Hayes’ Helper!
Hi Hayes’ Helpers - As many of you know, Les & Angela have found themselves in unexpected circumstances with Les’ health. I’m hopeful that we can HELP THE HAYES’ offset some of the costs they are experiencing and lighten at least the financial burden. I’ll also be posting a Meal Train to help with the kids needs while Les & Angela are away. Please help in any way you feel called to help! Thanks to Christi Eldridge for the summary below:
* Les has been going to the dr (several drs) trying to find out why he was in so much pain since September. He had been having a really bad sore throat prior that wouldn't go away.
* He was finally diagnosed on May 4th with throat cancer.
* It is in between Stage 1/Stage 2.
* He began treatment last week. He will continue daily radiation and chemo once a week for the next 6 weeks in Houston.
* They have 2 children (16 year old daughter and 19 year old son) that have to stay here while parents are in Houston.
* Financially they are having to support themselves in Houston (renting an apartment) as well as keeping up with finances back home and providing groceries for them and kids in 2 separate locations.
They will also be accumulating medical bills along the way.
