Rebuild Homes Destroyed by Hurricane Lidia
Tax deductible
Corazon de Nina's mission is to protect some of Mexico's most disadvantaged children and youth – orphans, victims of abandonment, extreme poverty, and exploitation. An important part of this continues to be assisting families in the community in need. This includes three rural communities living in extreme poverty that we support with food, clothing, school supplies and other basic needs.
In the wake of the devastating hurricane that recently struck Puerto Vallarta, 39 families had their homes destroyed and are now left without protection from the elements. Today we sent a team high into the Sierra Madre mountain range to one of the communities - Los Lobos - that was severely impacted by the storm, to deliver some inital supplies to rebuild their homes but more is needed.
We invite you to join us in this vital initiative to provide building materials to these families. Another hurricane is expected in the next few days and so time is critical in order to protect them from additional hardship.
All of the funds will go towards purchasing 320 metal roof panels, beams, etc to rebuild roofs of impoverished families, that were destroyed in the storm. $275 USD/$375 CAD puts a roof on a home for one family.
Thank you so much for your support. We couldn't do it without you!
