Be Abel's Angel-Bolivian Needs Hospital Bills Help
Donation protected
Hello Everybody,
I present to you the story of Abel Mendoza of El Alto, Bolivia. A person's victimization is not their entire identity and who Abel Mendoza really is must be told. To many, Abel Mendoza is an avid supporter of the underground metal scene in La Paz, Bolivia. Donning a denim vest with innumerable patches of his favorite thrash metal bands and his shiny white high-tops, you will always happily see him at almost every single show starting the moshpit and going crazy. Abel Mendoza is known by many for his good heart and his intense passion for music. Abel would be the one guy who would sometimes be the only person in an audience, but he would always make every single band feel like they are headlining Madison Square Garden. However, Abel Mendoza is more than just a metalhead since he is also an avid violin player that performs in a band that plays the cultural music of his country and is a talented dancer.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck on April 23rd, 2021 because the family of Abel Mendoza had to declare him a missing person due to the fact that they have not heard from him in a few days. To their horror, Abel Mendoza was discovered to be in a hospital where he laid in a coma for four days with tons of bruises all over his head. All that was known was that Abel Mendoza was the victim of a horrible assault that beat him an inch of his life. The X-Rays would indicate that a quarter of his frontal lobe in the left hemisphere was intensely bleeding. As a result of this, he had to receive an emergency surgery in order to save his life.

Sadly, as a result of this necessary surgery, Abel's family is 30,000 Bolivianos (roughly $4,500 USD) in debt. Abel's family is intensely struggling in order to pay for their surgery and they really need the help of the public in order to make sure that they can pay for Abel's care. Abel's family is actually quite economically disadvantaged because his parents are of advanced age and unable to work. The city of El Alto has a rampant problem with poverty and unemployment, even for Bolivian standards. The problem is that in Bolivia, there are little social safety nets in order to assist the family with this burdensome cost of an assault that is no fault of Abel's. In fact, the average worker's salary in El Alto, Bolivia is about $300 a month. Keep in mind, Abel's parents have other children and living expenses, so the burden is as high as the highest peaks of this mountainous country. Abel's parents should not have to choose between their own meals and Abel's health from this egregious assault.

Abel Mendoza obviously wants to make a full recovery and he is going to need the help of the public. He eagerly wants to be able to play the violin again. While the x-ray image might show a large white spot that indicates injury, Abel's spirit is way larger and his resilience will be a true symbol to the struggling people of his nation. Abel, as of right now, is semi-conscious and is on the start of a miraculous recovery. Abel's economic condition should not serve as an impediment to getting the best care possible. If there is something that should not be, it is that the guillotine of inequality should not be able to decapitate the spirit of young Abel Mendoza, age 20, of El Alto, Bolivia. Nothing is worse than seeing a young man such as him not being able to live up to his full potential because of a tragedy. If there is anything that we can do as a public, it is to give this man the tools to fight and become the best resurrection story in this hemisphere. Even if you only donated $10, it would be a tremendous assistance to a grieving family in need, especially in his country.

When you send your money, we will be sending this money directly to his family through his older sister Emily Mendoza of El Alto, Bolivia, who has been overseeing all donations for Abel Mendoza. Thank you very much and be sure to inform your fellow kind-hearted friends. If there is anything that we are, it is Abel's Angels and we have his back.
UPDATE:
To mark the commemoration of fundraising $300 so far, we have asked for a statement from Abel's sister, Emily that goes as follows: "Abel and my family thanks all of you. He is still very weak and requires a lot of care, but the doctors have expressed optimism that he will recover little by little. He is improving everyday, but he still does not talk much. It is very possible that he will be released from the hospital and be in the care of his family." Please share this fundraiser with all of your friends because the hospital will start collecting the money as soon as he is released.
