Be part of Mr. Daly's fight against cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and caring community,
I am writing this on behalf of our dear friend Jim Daly, a long-time science teacher at Bosque School, who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Jim's local oncologist has referred him to MD Anderson in Houston for surgery and monitoring in addition to chemo treatments here in New Mexico because of the rarity of his cancer, acinar cell carcinoma. Help us keep the reality of medical bills, travel costs, and time off work less overwhelming. Your contribution will ease the financial burden and allow Cynthia (Jim's wife) and Jim to focus on his care. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference.
Jim and Cynthia's expenses will include:
Travel to and from Houston for a minimum of four visits in the next year, with a surgery stay of approximately three weeks
Lodging, food, and ground transportation while in Houston
The possibility of time off without pay for both Jim and Cynthia, who is also a teacher
Other supportive therapies
Insurance deductibles, copays, and other out of pocket expenses
All donations will go directly to the Daly family to expedite Jim's treatment. Whether you are able to donate now or not, please consider sharing this post with our greater community. Thank you for being a source of hope in their fight against cancer.
We will keep you updated on his progress.
