YOUTH OLYMPICS, WORLD JUNIORS 2025
Donation protected
Following Team Carrick-Smiths incredibly successful 2023/24 season we went into a busy summer of fitness testing, fitness training and on snow camps in Norway, Saas Fee-Switzerland, Peer-Belgium and finally Sweden and Finland in the Autumn. With your help Luca was able to get to the Southern Hemisphere and we very much hope to get the whole team to train on winter snow next summer. Although there is a little down time in the summer, generally being a ski racer means training year round.
This season is another huge stepping stone for Team Carrick-Smith and we are starting to take the step up to Europa Cup. Europa Cup slopes are steeper, icier and are a fantastic lead into World Cup as we learn to navigate the more demanding terrain. We have had some fantastic podiums already at FIS races over the past few weeks and are now looking forward to a Christmas training block before heading into the New Year.
Last season saw Zak come home from the Youth World Olympics in South Korea with 2 gold medals and 1 silver, whilst Freddy stood on the top spot in the U18 World Championships. This February both Freddy and Zak hope to be competing at the European Youth Olympics in Georgia and then all 3 boys hope to compete in the Junior World Championships in Italy.
To compete at this level on a world stage requires a large amount of finance and we currently rely solely on donations and sponsors.
We are absolutely committed to this journey and thank everyone involved in helping us. This truly isn't possible without you, please join Team Carrick-Smith and help the boys on this journey with a donation.
