Join the Cali Crushers on Their Cricket Debut in Atlanta!
Be our 12th player by supporting the SoCal Women's Cricket Team, the Cali Crushers. Your donations will help us leave our mark on the domestic cricket scene in the US.
The Event:
The XIth Annual Georgia Women's T20 Cricket Tournament, hosted by the Georgia Women's Cricket Association and held in Conyers, GA, from May 24th to 26th, 2024, is the USA's longest-standing standalone women's cricket event. This year, it features eight teams, including three international teams from Bermuda, Belize, and the University of West Indies, alongside five domestic teams: three from Atlanta, one from Florida, and one representing California.
Who We Are:
SoCal Women’s Cricket is all about empowering women through cricket. We play, build, and promote the game, creating national opportunities and networks for passionate Cricket players.
Since our inception, SoCal Women's Cricket has flourished, drawing active members from across Southern California and the USA. After weeks of rigorous training sessions and practice matches in Southern California, we proudly present our inaugural team, the Cali Crushers. Now, we're gearing up for the T20 Tournament in Atlanta. However, we can't do this without your support.
Why We Need Your Support:
Your support is crucial in covering travel, accommodation, uniforms, and meals, allowing our players to concentrate on delivering their best performance.
We've brought together a diverse roster of talent across the USA, including seasoned professionals and emerging stars. Our lineup has a wealth of experience with players such as Sunny (Durga Datla), Atlanta Team captain (USA Pathways League), and standout performers like Sangeetha Singh, who dominated last year's Atlanta tournament with her bowling prowess. Joining them are players like Priyanka Dhahiya from the Indian Domestic leagues and Shanaz Mistry, who left her mark as the top wicket-taker in the 2015 tournament.
But wait, there's more – our team also showcases emerging talents like Hannah Huff, a record-holder in Track and Field's 800m event, a passionate cricketer and one of the organizers of the SoCal Women's Cricket Association. Additionally, we have Amrita Sukumar, recognized as the Best All-Rounder in local tennis ball tournaments in Atlanta. Furthermore, Mehreen Samnani, a formidable Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt, rediscovered her love for cricket through SoCal Women's Cricket. And we're thrilled to welcome talented tennis ball cricketers from Atlanta who are transitioning to leather ball cricket.
Beulah Pidakala, a former USA player who made six appearances in the Atlanta tournament and numerous domestic competitions and is the founder and organizer of the SoCal Women's Cricket Association, will captain the team.
Join us on our journey to Atlanta and become a part of our exciting adventure.
How Your Contribution Will Help:
Every dollar contributed goes towards our target of $2,500, making our $5,000 budget achievable.
We've allocated about $5,000 for our expenses, including $2,500 for airfare, $1,500 for Airbnb and rental car costs, and $1,000 for uniforms, food, and other necessities.
We're seeking support to cover half of this budget.
Exclusive Thank-You Gift:
Donors of $100 and above will receive the Official Cali Crushers 12th man T-shirt as a token of our gratitude.
