Be the voice of Iranian people in Ireland

We are SEFI: Support Equality and Freedom for Iran, a politically independent group made up of Irish-Iranian and Iranian professionals who are working on advocating and raising awareness about Iran’s revolution.

Our main objective is to amplify the voices of Iranians in the absence of accessible internet as well as independent journalists and news agencies in Iran. Our activities include organising events, exhibitions, seminars, and protests.

Sparked by the tragic killing of the 22-year-old Mahsa Jina Amini by the so-called ‘morality police’ for ‘improper’ hijab on 16th September 2022, Iranians from all over the country have united in standing up to the theocratic and oppressive regime of Iran. During the first 50 days of the protests, over 250 have been killed with impunity, including children, and more than 14,000 have been detained (read more). Many of these detainees are tortured and intimidated to make false confessions and face grave charges in sham trials without access to lawyers or legal advice.

We urgently seek donations to help us raise awareness both within Ireland and abroad of the blatant violations of human rights that have been happening on a daily basis since Mahsa Jina’s killing in Iran. Your donations will allow us to:

1. Promote news and updates on Iran’s revolution from factual and trustable sources on social media platforms.

2. Organise events to raise awareness.

3. Run paid sponsorships with Irish news outlets.

4. Create an online presence for this group.
