Help Ian & family / Cancer illness
Donation protected

Ian recently found out he has stage 3 papillary Cancer. It started in his Thyroid, spread to his vocal cords and lymph glands. He recently had surgery to remove his thyroid and lymph glands I'm his neck, that's where the surgeon found that his vocal cords were also involved. There will be a team of doctors at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle working with Ian to cure his cancer starting with a full body scan in about four weeks.
Ian and my daughter Tracy have been together for about 3 years, and reside on Whidbey Island, which is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from the hospital. Tracy also has medical and mental health issues. She has been suffering with a disintegrating jaw bone, and has to endure so much pain everyday, she is scheduled for surgery on 11/23/15 to hopefully relieve the pain. She also is Bi-polar and was hospitalized last February after a nervous breakdown. She hasn't worked in a couple of years because of social anxiety, she is under a doctor's care for this.
Ian has worked for a drug store until his cancer diagnosis, he is currently not working due to surgery and will be undergoing treatment and possibly more surgery. After the last surgery since his vocal cords were involved he doesn't have much more than a whisper for his voice, at this point the doctors aren't able to determine if it will come back or not.
The reason I am asking for donations is because with all these medical issues, they are unable to pay their bills, unable to afford to get to and from Seattle for doctor appointments,. I am Tracy's mother and I have helped this couple out in the past but at this point it is putting a strain on my financial situation also.
I also have to mention that Ian has 2 daughters and Tracy has 3 children.
If you can possibly help them it would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
