Relief for Beach Jewelry Center from Long Beach
Donation protected
I am creating this to help my bestfriend’s parent’s jewelry shop (Pine st & 3rd) that was completely destroyed and emptied out from looters during the Long Beach Protest this past week.
The local small shop has been apart of the Long Beach community for over 30 years since the LB Mall, long supported by locals. Owned by immigrant parents from Vietnam, built from the ground up in hopes for a better future.
We were devastated arriving at the shop the night of the protest to see the outcome. The family is heartbroken, and still trying to figure out how to make up for the loss. This was their only source of income.
The family were hesitant to start a GoFundMe, as they did not want to take from the community for damages caused by looters unrelated to the movement and non LB natives. I am taking the initiative to step up and at least offer them something to help with the costs of damages alone.
