Beach Wheelchairs for Dewey Beach

BEACH ACCESS WHEELCHAIRS FUNDRAISING
In an effort to make our beautiful beach accessible by as many people as possible, the Town of Dewey Beach provides the use of beach access wheelchairs (TerraWheels®) to anyone who would like to reserve them for use at no cost. We recently purchased four (4) new beach access chairs, and would like to purchase four (4) additional new ones.
TerraWheels® beach access chairs are designed to maximize your Outdoor Experience. The chairs provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy all outdoor activities to their full ability! Their frames are manufactured of aluminum and stainless steel, and the wheels are made of rubber. TerraWheels® features two rear swivel wheels which allows for easier mobility on the beach. The chairs come with brakes so that users are safe and secure while stationary. To maximize comfort for users, the product offers three options for reclining, a wide seating space and a footrest.
To assist with alleviating cost, we have started a fundraising campaign. The goal we would like to reach is $15,000, and will be updating the generous donation amounts received on the below "mercury tracker".
