Beachmere Rugby League Football Club

On the first Saturday in June (right in the middle of our season) one our field light boxes overheated and caught on fire causing the club to be without field lights. Unfortunately, this was something that is not covered by our insurance. We were relieved to hear our local Council would attend to fixing the damaged light box but were delivered a further blow when we received the news that this would not be able to be completed by Council's electrician until next year.

This would prove both costly and inconvenient for our club as it would mean we would have to give up the opportunity to host any evening home games for the remainder of the Season, not to mention the difficulty this would continue to cause for training which can only occur in the evenings and nights.

We have decided to cover the cost of getting the lights up and running through a private electrician. Unfortunately, this is going to come at the expense of things previously planned to benefit our players. So we are reaching out to our greater community for any help that anyone is able to offer. We know times are tough and we do not expect a lot, but every little bit will help with this unexpected expense so we are reaching out for any help we can get.
