Bear Share for the Homeless

Tax deductible
Girl Scout Troop 6571 and all its members wanted to make a difference in the community to help people in need. The troop came up with a fundraiser called Bear Share.

Our story
Recently there has been quite a lot of bears showing up in windows all over the U.S and and places around the world. We thought that it would be a fun idea to incorporate that into our fundraiser. Our idea was for people to be able to go around to these houses, and choose your favorite bear. You would then take a picture of your favorite bear and draw it.  Once you have done this you can share your drawing online or with friends. Then pass the Challenge on to someone else.

What is Rainbow Place?
"Rainbow Place is an emergency shelter. They work with women at the very beginning of their transition out of homelessness. Their primary focus is to keep the women they serve safe during the harsh winter months."

Why we chose them
Covid-19 has thrown Rainbow Place into financial uncertainty.  Because of this pandemic they have had to cancel 3 of their spring and summer fundraising events.  They are really hurting right now. We want to help them make up what their events would have raised.

All of the money raised will go directly to Rainbow Place.
