We are a group of young, eager and dedicated filmmakers who came together in the woods of Colorado to make an independent slasher film like no other.

Bear Creek is an independent LGBT horror slasher film, about five friends who try to retreat into nature for a camping trip! And an escape from the “real world” and the pressures of their daily lives. Bear Creek is filled with fun, laughs and a few hot encounters, and It all seems innocent enough until a rampaging sociopath joins them ensuring a trip they'll never forget.
Director George A. Climer, DOP Dante Yore, make-up effects artist such as Kevon Ward and a handful of other crew members in the top of their fields all put forth an amazing effort to realize this story.
Will they pay the price?
With a very small crew and an even smaller budget, we set out to make a movie and came out with something we think is really special unique and edgy.
One thing that brought everyone together was a collective love for film especially horror films. This love shows through in every frame we shot.
Our production is wrapped, but now we need to raise some funds to complete the post-production aspects. Specifically, we’re looking to get professional color correction, rights to soundtrack music, Foley, ADR, extra visual effects, and other last minute Shots that really bring the film together.Ideally, we’d like to premier the film in Denver where it was shot, and in San Diego, where the Director George A Climer one of the main actors and The DOP Dante Yore are currently residing. We’ll need to raise money for the rental of theaters and other awesome things in which we need to hold these events and make them once in a lifetime.
Ultimately, the cast and crew of Bear Creek hope to use this film as an opportunity to break further into the Film Industry, and bring forth more involvement in film industry the LGBT community. Introducing a different perspective in film when it comes to LGBT characters and stories that truthfully has become cliché. We can be so much more than campy! as well as having a finished product that everyone can truly enjoy and be proud of being a part of.
With the money we raise here, we will put the final product together and then polish up the film and get it to you in the best way possible. This film deserves its place on the silver screen, and we want to make it look as good as it can. We also hope to manufacture DVDs for home viewing.
We’ll be running this campaign for the next 30 days, as we hope to premier this film in October around Halloween. We need to make sure the editors get paid and release our footage in time!!! and we need to secure the theaters and locations for the premiers and after-parties themselves.
A lot of time and hard work has gone into the making of this movie, and we’re almost there. With a little bit of help from you, we can make this the best it can be. We know you’ve never seen a film quite like this one, and we’re excited to get it out there to the world. The cast and crew are talented hard workers, dedicated to carving out a career for themselves in this industry. We can’t wait to watch you see our film.
