Bears for Brayden

Donation protected
Hi.  I am Alexia.  I am 15 years old.  I am Brayden's older sister.
Brayden's life started out rough.  He was born 10 weeks early and spent the first four months of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where he also had his first three, out of several, surgeries.

Brayden is now almost 9 years old.  I created this fundraiser because Brayden has a rare disability called Joubert Syndrome and a second disability called Leber's Congenital Amaurosis, which is a visual impairment.

There are only about 1000 known diagnosed people in the WORLD that have this disability.

He has a lot of medical needs and requires a lot of attention.  He is getting heavy and big and will be too big for my mom to lift as he grows.  I want to fundraise to help pay for the cost to get an accessible van for him.  Brayden just got a new wheelchair but it is too heavy for my mom to lift so he still isn't able to use it.  I want to help get a van so Brayden can use his new chair.  I also want to be able to get a home  ceiling trac system installed which will allow my mom to get Brayden around the house easier as he is growing. It is a system that attaches to the ceiling that allows Brayden to be moved from room to room.   Thanks for all your support.

$60,000 will pay for his modified van
$40,000 will pay for the home modifications that we need for his care - modified bathroom, wheelchair ramp, wood floors for mobility, the trac system.

Thanks so much!
