Life saving spinal surgery for Beau.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cheyenne. I am raising money to pay for our German Shepard Beau to have an emergency spinal surgery after being hit by a car Friday afternoon. With the cost of surgery and MRI we are looking at $9,000-$12,000 on top of the money we have had to pay for his hospital care and stay since the accident. We are desperately trying to come up with the money to save our dogs life. A little back story on Beau, he was born September 11, 2022. Beau is no stranger when it comes to fighting for his life. When we adopted him, he was battling coccidia, which is deadly in most cases for puppies, however after fighting off two rounds of this parasite he made it out. Just one month after celebrating his one year we have been struck with this tragedy. Beau was struck by a vehicle and left in a ditch paralyzed and alone. Moments after watching his brother Diesel our six-month Great Dane puppy be struck and killed also left to die in a ditch alone. We know in our hearts that it was his Shepherd mentality that kept him by his brothers side despite knowing the potential consequences. Our family has been grieving the loss of Diesel while still fighting to save Beau’s life. I’m not one to typically ask for help, but this is life or death for my dog, and I need help from the community. He is so young and has fought and continues to fight so hard for his life. He has remained the same sweet, happy, and loving boy despite the pain he has been in. I want to give him the chance to live a long life. The life he deserves.
If we are not able to meet this goal and go down the route of potential euthanasia, we will use the funds to cover any medical expenses that have been accrued. Anything left over will be donated to the Compassionate Veterinary care of Herscher. They have been working around the clock to take care of Beau, as well as taking in Diesel for cremation on their day off for us.
Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated, even sharing this post gives Beau a chance at living a long life. Thank you.
