Adoption Expenses

As many of you know, and maybe some of you don't, Jess and I met at church doing a local mission in the inner city projects of Denver. We hit it off instantly. One thing led to another and a little over a year later we were walking down the isle. 
With dreams in our heads and our hands in eachothers, we took off on the adventure of life. Our biggest dream, the longing of both our hearts has been to start a family. Nearly three years after our wedding, we're excited for this chapter of our lives to begin. But there's a catch (there's always as catch). We've been trying to start a family for two years. We've met with all sorts of doctors and specialists. We been through a battery of tests. Jess and I have endured many uncomfortable doctors visits, drug reactions, and needles. Now after almost two years of trying we are tired, worn out, heartbroken, and still not parents. 
God has a funny way of things. Jess and I have always thought about adopting a baby or two after we had started our family with biological children but that's not the Lord's plan. Maybe He never intended for us to have biological children, maybe we had the order of things flipped, who knows. Either way, we are excited to be going throught the adoption process in hopes of providing the kind of home we grew up in to a baby.

We are amazed by the cost of adoption and know that we cannot do this alone. We need help.

Humbly we are asking for that help. Costs for adoption can range anywhere from $10,000-$30,000. Not an easy feat for anyone to pay but we know with the help of family and friends, maybe some strangers, and a whole lot of prayer, we can make the dream of being parents a reality. 
We thank you for your support both financially and in prayers. Know that you will be in our prayers as well. Also, in the event that we raise more than is required to make our dream come true, we will be donating the excess to a local childhood cancer organization here in Lawerence. This is and organization that helps families of children battling cancer cover the financial costs of basic things like groceries and gas so they can attend to more pressing needs such as caring for their sick child.
