Beaufort Barber Shop - Alan

I've tried to be modest with the goal but to be honest I hope it goes much higher. For the Marines of Beaufort, this man is an absolute treasure. Always happy to see you, will talk smack with you until the cows come home and give you a darn good haircut at the same time.

Alan is a former British Royal Marine that came to the states in the 80s. He lived in New York for a while and eventually made his way to Beaufort, SC. He's been cutting hair now in Beaufort for 22 years and believe it or not, he hasn't changed his price.....EVER! Regardless of inflation, rising taxes, cost of living, covid; $12.

Since I still live in the area, I check up on him from time to time. Always greeted with a friendly, "How the hell are ya, mate?" The exterior of the barber shop has seen it's better days, he's still driving the same vehicle he was driving when I met him and he's still only charging $12. His most recent issue is his old chair. The hydraulics died and he's using a cheap chair until he can "afford" to fix the old one.

I want to give back to this great man. I'd like to see him get more reliable vehicle, fix up the shop, get a new chair and maybe even take a vacation. Please share this with an many Beaufort Marines as you can.
