Infinity and Beyond for Beau

Donation protected

The week of May 17th 2021, Ryann and Todd received news no parent wants to hear: their three year old son Beau's cancer had returned. The Neuro-Oncology team at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia determined that even with the best treatments available, Beau’s disease had entered an incurable stage. Their family has been overwhelmed by the love and support shown with countless offers of help during this difficult journey.

As Beau moves forward with a low dose oral chemotherapy regimen and close monitoring from his medical team at CHOP, Ryann, Todd, and Maeve are hopeful to spend as much quality time as possible with Beau. We are starting this campaign so that all who offered to help can provide the best gift of all for their family: worry free time making memories together with Beau. While difficult days certainly lie ahead, so do fun times at the Jersey Shore, days at the zoo, and even a trip to Disney World! With the contributions collected from this campaign we hope to make this impossible road a little easier for their family so they’re able to focus on making lasting memories together with Beau.

As this journey progresses, we will provide updates each step of the way, along with additional ways to support their family. In addition to this fundraiser, bracelets are being sold to raise awareness and show support in our respective communities. If you're interested in a bracelet to raise awareness and support Infinity and Beyond for Beau please reach out to Regann Smith.

**Background** In the fall of 2019 Beau Campbell was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma, a rare type of cancerous tumor found in the brain and spinal cord. After successful surgery to remove the tumor, intensive therapies, welcoming a new baby sister, and 33 treatments of proton radiation therapy at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Beau was cancer free.  Throughout 2020 Beau had close monitoring with regular MRI’s. Just prior to his first MRI of 2021, Beau began exhibiting symptoms associated with a recurrent tumor. After an evaluation at  CHOP, their family learned that not only had the ependymoma returned, it had spread to other areas of Beau’s brain and spine. After another successful surgery to remove the recurrent growth and relieve his symptoms, Beau’s medical team is hoping to slow the progression of the growth of his tumors. Beau’s parents, family, and friends are focused on providing many great experiences in the coming months. Ryann and Todd are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, and the love that we all share for Beau. They ask that their gratitude be expressed as they begin this journey, and are grateful for the unwavering support during this difficult time.
