Beautifully Diverse goes to New York Fashion Week

Creating social change means you must 'Be Brave, and Make Change.'

Becoming hearing impaired became challenging, especially when aiming to achieve higher education, such as a Masters degree. Listening to lectures suddenly became a struggle because of the hearing quality, and captions were unavailable. After losing my job during the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to return to being creative. I felt creating was more manageable because you make and do!

I created a fashion brand called 'Beautifully Diverse Fashion,' initially a shoe line, and have now been selected to headline 'Runway 7 Fashion' at New York Fashion Week in September 2022. We were chosen because we are more than just about fashion but social change. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and create a harmonious and diverse society through cultural clothing with matching shoes. In addition, we want to encourage young people to understand that success isn't about physical appearance but work ethic. You need to care about your actions, trust and believe in yourself, and manifest what you want.

Runway 7 Fashion will include an audience of 500-600 people plus 10 million online viewers across the USA & globally, which provides for you! In addition, runway 7 Fashion is also the only NYFW venue with the first hybrid platform of its kind, where viewers can purchase items off the runway LIVE!

Our message includes a series of unfortunate events that have occurred during COVID-19, which we all can relate to, such as;  

- Racism & discrimination

- Loss of a loved one &

- Becoming ill from Covid

Beautifully Diverse will be showcasing a fashion show that celebrates successful people within the community. These people are not only in the modeling or fashion world, but are a part of a community that contributes to and continues to make society a better place. It's about celebrating people's achievements - people from all walks of life, different races, ages and genders, life, music and culture. 

What we need to fundraise for:

- A deposit of $8500 covers the show production etc. (non-refundable)

- Flights & Accommodation - as everyone is coming at different times from different countries/visas

- Making of clothing and shoes
