Beautify McCutchenville

Hi my name is Annie Klepper ~ I'm 16 years old and live and work in the rural McCutchenville, Ohio community. For my senior year in high school, I am eager to revitalize my hometown. I am online schooled, and although I am not required to do a senior project, I am so excited to use this opportunity to beautify our tiny town! (We're so small we're not even officially a town but rather a "CDP" Census Designated Place). Regardless of our small population, we do have a rich history. For example, McCutchenville, Ohio is home to the Overland Inn...one of only two original stagecoach inns remaining in the entire state. And of course there's the tale of Charles Dickens overnighting here in 1842 and eating bad beef, resulting in a nightmare that supposedly inspired  “A Christmas Carol.”

I have been coming into "downtown" McCutchenville nearly every day of my life for the past 7 years to ship orders out of our local P.O. for my equestrian apparel business. Each time I am in town, I think of how wonderful it would be to work on some simple projects that could add significant charm to "Scutch". I have a lot of big plans, but for starters, I would love to purchase multiple planters and keep them filled with flowers and tasteful seasonal decorations. Other plans include purchasing high quality flags/flagpoles as well as several benches. It would also be great to raise enough money for a nice "Welcome to McCutchenville" sign at the South end of town. It is my hope that if we can work together to get some of these things accomplished, that it would provide the much needed momentum for our small community to work together and experience a real sense of pride.  Any donation amount is incredibly appreciated! It is my goal to get these items purchased and in place by the upcoming holiday season.  Thank you so very much!
