Beauty for Ashes Missions- Trish Brock
We all have stories that involve personal pain & God’s intervention. But often shame keeps our stories from being told. We tend not to share the shameful, painful parts of our lives -- the most powerful parts. Instead, we share only what is socially acceptable. We can break the power of shame by sharing the truth about our stories. When we share in a safe environment, God’s healing is free to flow over the hurts and pains of our past, so we can step into the bright future our Heavenly Father has designed for us. The safe environment and Christ-centered community fostered by Beauty for Ashes ministry help make this possible.
Beauty for Ashes creates safe spaces for women to encounter the hope and healing of Jesus. We desire for women to walk out of shame and into freedom through biblical stories, testimonies, seeking the Lord’s voice and sharing their stories with their community. Our curriculum provides guidance for women to interact with the truth of Scripture and invite the Holy Spirit to speak into their lives. It can be tailored to meet a variety of needs from small groups to special week-long retreats.
We have held Beauty for Ashes gatherings in over 50 countries and have seen God eternally impact the lives of countless women. Through this experience, women tap into their God-given destiny and become ambassadors for change in their homes, communities, and cultures.
We believe deeply in empowering women to step into all God has for them so they can disciple other women in the practical application of living out the freedom found in God's truth and His purpose in their lives. Each woman’s story is powerful.
Where You Come in
New Mexico 4/2/22-4/6/22 $495(not including airfare)
You will have an opportunity to share God’s hope and love by hosting Beauty for Ashes retreats for Navajo women living in the reservation.
We come alongside our ministry partners that serve the Navajo people near a reservation in the high desert of New Mexico. The people in the Navajo community are desperately in need of Jesus and spiritual direction. Many are in trouble, facing huge drug and alcohol addiction issues, family disintegration, and incredibly high suicide rates. The level of dependency and hopelessness is still hard for many people living outside the reservations to imagine, let alone understand. Native Americans need a personal experience, a loving relationship with Jesus that will lead to hope and purpose.
Albania 6/17/22-6/23/22 $995(not including airfare)
On this mission trip the Beauty for Ashes team will create a space for women to engage with their own story and connect with God.
We will serve women living in Muslim communities alongside our ministry partner, Church of God “Life in Christ.” The majority of women in the communities are house moms or work in farming/agriculture. The majority have no social life, as their life consists of working, cleaning, and caring for their family. They have a great need for Christ and long for fellowship. Many are abused and have kept silent because of shame. In their culture, men are viewed to have high value and sadly women aren't seen as equal. With the love of Christ, the women in the Muslim community can experience God's healing, restoration, and freedom.
Phillipines 10/14/22-10/21/22 $1195(not including airfare)
On this mission trip, Beauty for Ashes will serve the women of Wipe Every Tear (WET) in Manila, Philippines.
Wipe Every Tear is committed to bringing freedom, hope and a future to those trafficked in the sex trade. It provides safe places to call home, to education and discipleship.
We are excited to begin our 8th year of partnership with Wipe Every Tear, and they have always seen hope in the eyes of their girls: not just hope for themselves, but hope for their sisters, and hope for their nation.
