Rebuild Beauty Town , Ferguson, MO
Hello, my name is Ellen Kim. For the past decade, my husband and I have been running a beauty supply store called Beauty Town Plus in Ferguson, MO. Over ten years we built a reputation for carrying an extensive collection of quality products.
Our store was broken into and looted three times during and after the Ferguson riots. We were closed for a month because everytime we were ready to reopen, our store would be looted again.
The support we recieved from our neighbors and customers was overwhelmingly positive and truly heart-warming. We spent most of our savings rebuilding our store and improving our stock for the holiday season. We eventually reopened and carried on.
However during last week's riots our store was completely burned down. We watched 10 years of effort go up in flames.
We will return, but it will take us longer than a month this time. We worked hard to repay the kindness our customers showed us during the past few months and we will continue to do so.
