Beaver Ledges Bridge
Tax deductible
I am building a twenty foot trail bridge and making trail improvements for the Haddam Land Trust, Inc. on the Beaver Ledges property they have acquired as my Eagle Scout service project. The bridge will allow the public to cross the sixteen foot wide Roaring Brook which cuts off most of the property from road access. My project will make it much easier for hikers to reach the large beaver pond on the property and facilitate completion of an extensive trail network that has been marked out and the construction of additional foot bridges. The bridge will be built of oak rather than pressure treated lumber to lessen its environmental impact. The funds will go to buy custom-cut rough sawn lumber, concrete block for abutments, and adhesives and hardware for construction.
Donations will go directly into the account of the Haddam Land Trust, Inc. and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Any excess funds or materials will go to the Land Trust for future improvements on the property. Construction is ready to begin so funds are needed as soon as possible.
