Beaver Main Elementary School Library

There is something special about Beaver-Main Elementary School. If you or someone you know went there, you know what I’m talking about. My husband went there. His grandparents, sister and our one daughter went there. It’s special. It’s almost like walking back in time but with smart boards. They use limited space and resources and provide a tremendous educational experience for every student.

The Library at Beaver-Main sits at the back of the stage in the gymnasium. The book shelves are old; many are hand-me-downs from other schools in the district. Many books need to be replaced and there is room for many more.

As a substitute teacher, I enjoy seeing the excitement from the kids when they come back from the library. They love to share the books they choose and are excited to take them home and share them with their siblings. There are also many times when they didn’t have the book they wanted or wanted more books on the subject they were currently enjoying. My goal is to fill in some of those gaps and provide a larger selection for the kids to choose from.

All money collected will go to fund new books and hopefully new shelves for the Beaver-Main Elementary School Library. Books will be purchased from a wish list created by the Librarian and the teaching staff at Beaver-Main Elementary.
