Support beBhakti Yoga Center

beBhakti Yoga Center in Beacon, NY has been honored to serve its local communities over the past three and a half years. From the moment beBhakti opened its doors, it has been giving back. Bebhakti has run the yoga program for all of the Beacon public schools since September of 2016, offering yoga to kids in the rec program. Additionally, beBhakti has donated hundreds of dollars to Common Ground Farms for the past two summers through its class offerings at Long Dock. beBhakti has also donated money towards many local food pantries, battered women's shelters, and has worked closely with the Cornell Cooperative Extension Green Teen Initiative-- a youth development program that empowers urban youth to be effective community change agents. Through hands-on experiences, Green Teens learn invaluable life and work skills that include engaging in beBhakti yoga classes to learn about stress management and how exercise and yoga can help the central nervous system.
beBhakti Yoga Center is a sacred, playful space for all to experience yoga and Bhakti (devotion). It is a safe sanctuary for all to practice, learn and grow. Getting to know ourselves on the mat helps us practice connecting to our fullest potential off the mat. Beacon represents a sacred place in nature, where the water meets the mountains, signifying union. A place just within us, that creates oneness. Learn More About Our Studio.
We are so grateful to all our loyal students for supporting beBhakti Yoga during this time. Every time you take a class online you are supporting this community and showing up for one another. Classes in the virtual world are not Hollywood productions, but each class is carefully sequenced and crafted with love.
Like many local businesses, we are struggling to pay our operating expenses. As beBhakti remains closed, the revenue from the online classes is not managing to cover our baseline expenses. We are brainstorming and continually readjusting to this reality and have applied for government assistance but that is a waiting game. Asking for help is hard-- especially since we have been a strong, stable, and grounding force for the community.
Funds from this campaign will:
- Help pay rent/mortgage, utilities, insurance and other studio operating costs
- Help pay our dedicated staff of teachers
- Help keep our classes running, community outreach programs going, and the studio thriving as a destination
As a thank you for your support:
If you donate $100 or more, you’ll receive a copy of the mantra album, Seeds, and three videos of recorded classes so you can practice at your convenience. (The album is available as a CD or MP3 so let us know your preference by emailing [email redacted]).
If you donate $50 dollars or more, you will receive two videos of recorded classes so you can practice at your convenience.
If everyone who receives this email donates even $10, we will realize our goal! No amount is too small!
If contributing to the campaign is not possible for you but you’d still like to continue to support beBhakti, you can:
- Share this campaign on your social media platforms or forward it to your friends
- Send us a kind email. Knowing we are in this together has given us the stamina to persevere!
