Because of Brenton: The Hero Fund

Brenton McCaskill passed away last Monday (11/30/2020). Brenton was at his girlfriend's house Monday morning when a group of men broke into the home. Brenton was able to chase them out of the home, but was shot and killed in the process. His heroic action saved several lives that day and we will never forget his sacrifice.
His favorite soccer team was Tottenham Hotspur. The team's motto: To Dare is To Do, which means to show unwavering courage. That unless you try, you will never achieve. Brenton was the epitome of 'To Dare is To Do'.
We at South Carolina Spurs are forever grateful that Brenton was a part of our community and family. He had a massive impact on the lives of his friends and family and it is our hope that through community action, that we can help create better futures for the next generations.
Brenton coached a kids basketball team at a local church league, was actively involved in youth sports, and would go out of his way to help others. To that end, the funds raised from this campaign will support youth sports registration fees and the purchase of equipment for low income families in York County, South Carolina. The plan is to convert this into a permanent charity or foundation to provide grants to the York County community, as well as organizations and agencies that assist low income families. We believe Brenton would be happy to know that, as a result of his courageous sacrifice, kids that grew up like him could be properly equipped to succeed in life
Thank you.
