Vivian & Josh - In Memory of Becca Basaldua

To all of our dear guests,

Thank you so much for stopping by. It means the world to us to have you join us for our wedding, and we appreciate you taking a moment to learn about a cause that is close to our hearts.

A year ago, we lost a beloved friend unexpectedly.

Rebecca, or "Becca" as she was called by friends and family, was an adventurer who loved hiking, tango, and a good debate. She was passionate about so many things, from the big things like her fervent dedication to helping victims of sexual violence (pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology with a research focus on veterans who had experienced sexual assault), to the little things like her love of food and wine (always ordering her meals in the style of Sally from "When Harry Met Sally"). Her kindness is what she will be most remembered for as she was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need, and she is dearly missed by all who knew her.

With this fundraiser, we are seeking to make an impactful charitable donation, in Becca's honor, to a cause she cared about greatly.

Specifically, we are working through funding a Senior Thesis Prize endowment at Princeton University (Becca received the Suzanne Huffman Senior Thesis honorable mention during her own time there for her thesis research), logistics permitting, or otherwise, making a donation to the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (Boston is where Becca did most of her research relating to victim support).

We greatly appreciate all contributions and thank you so much for helping us honor Becca's memory.
