As many of you know, we tried for 5 years to conceive a child and expand our family. After several abnormal, unsuccessful pregnancies we decided to pursue adoption - to the extent of rejecting PCS orders, and separating from the military prior to retiring so we could stay in Maryland in order to successfully adopt. In early 2020 we finally got the call and were blessed with a beautiful little girl. Leah has been the best part of our family, and we love watching her grow and learn new things.
Earlier this week, we received an unexpected call from the adoption agency. Leah's biological sister had just been born and was in need of placement. The decision to adopt her was instantaneous and unanimous both to grow our family and to keep the girls together. However, this was not a foreseen expense and we would humbly like to ask for your help as you are able. The overall cost for adoption is roughly $25,000, and this request for help is to help ensure an effective and less stressful transition as we welcome her into our family. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards adoption fees/expenses. Everyone has already been gracious and asked how they can help and if we will have a registry. We decided to not do a baby registry as we have a lot of the baby items left over already. We decided the best way to help was by doing this Go Fund Me instead. Thank you for your time and support.
