Becky Jennings Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
On July 7th, 2022 Becky Jennings was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. What could have been a semi-easy procedure was made extremely difficult by the autoimmune disease that she has suffered from which is polymyositis with interstitial lung disease. Becky has battled this disease since 2006. All doctors have refused to perform surgery to remove the tumor in Becky's stomach because she has stage 4 scarring of the liver (a side effect of her disease). Stage 4 scaring of the liver has put Becky at a higher risk for any surgery to remove the cancer. She was referred to MD Anderson for a second opinion and received the same news. Becky also went to Houston Methodist where doctors suggested that she try chemotherapy. She is going to be starting chemo in January of 2023. This will be very difficult due to the health conditions Becky is already facing. Beck will need special treatment and will be watched closely by her doctors throughout this process. The chemo is supposed to last 2-3 months at (Houston Methodist Cancer Center). The chemo is not expected to heal her but hopefully shrink the tumor to where a doctor would consider performing the surgery to remove the tumor which would include removing eighty percent of her stomach. Becky is a fighter and has been in good spirits throughout the many obstacles she has already overcome. Please continue to pray for Becky Jennings and keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. All monetary donations would be utilized to cover medical expenses and medications used by Becky. Your donation will be greatly appreciated by the Jennings Family.
