Help Becky kick cancer to the curb!
Donation protected
My name is Becky, and my wife, Kimberley, and I are foster/adoptive/bio moms who went from zero to four kids in about 1.5 years. On March 21, the day my daughter turned three months old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It hit us like a ton of bricks: I turned 40 this year and had no apparent risk. The tumor right now is small and doesn't appear to have invaded my lymph nodes. I will be receiving treatment at the University of Iowa Cancer Center, which will likely be a lumpectomy followed by radiation.
There are a lot of unknowns for us right now, and some of them involve the costs for treatment, including travel to and from Iowa City for surgery, scans, or follow-up consults. At the encouragement of good friends who love us and want to help, we're setting up this GoFundMe to defer any larger medical and travel expenses.
We are so grateful for our networks of people who have surrounded us with love and support in these early days and who will continue to be with us as we go through all the ups and downs ahead of us. Thank you for considering helping us in a monetary way. Please know that it's very humbling and appreciated.
Love,
Becky and Kimberley, Journey (8), Jake (3), W (1), and Olive (3 mos)
