Becky Renshaw’s Cancer Fund

If you have known my family for any amount of time, you will know that my mom, Becky Renshaw, is a saint, a champion, and a survivor. She raised my brother and I on her own, constantly bending over backwards to make sure we had what we needed. She worked full time as a teacher for 30+ years while also holding countless part time jobs to make ends meet. Time and time again, through every trial and tribulation, my mom has stood tall, put on a smile, and survived.

Earlier this year, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer that ultimately led to the discovery of kidney cancer as well. Both cancers were advanced and concerning. The kidney cancer required her to undergo a complete nephrectomy for her right kidney. A few weeks after the kidney removal, she underwent a final surgery to remove the breast cancer. She began chemotherapy shortly afterwards, starting off with four rounds of “Red Devil” chemo. She recently started the first of several rounds of a lower intensity chemo, which will be followed and finished by a few rounds of radiation treatments.

As per usual, my mom is taking it all like a champion and is completely kicking this cancer’s ass. However, the costs of the surgery, the hospital stay, and the treatments have become astronomical. I’ve set up a GoFundMe for her existing and future medical bills, as well as to keep her comfortable financially while she’s unable to work. Any amount you are able to donate will lift the pressure and stress of this massive financial burden from my mom’s shoulders.
