Becoming Miss Prairie View A&M University

Hello, I am Kala Kalond Washington a junior criminal justice major with a minor in behavioral and political sciences. I am from the beautiful city of Frisco, TX and am vying to be the 89th Miss Prairie View A&M University. Along with the pageant, there is a campaign season to engage the student body. Due to COVID-19 regulations, I will not be able to do any in person campaigning. I will have to rely strictly on virtual interactions and events. With that being said I want to purchase items to give away and mail to my peers. My goal is to gain more participation in my virtual events by having a plethora of incentives. The main places that I am seeking to purchase items from would be from the young black business owners here on campus. Secondly, I want to purchase gift cards from local black businesses in Houston.
