Bedwell Family Expenses

Hello, my name is Jarrad Bedwell and my family lives in Hendersonville, TN and I am swallowing my pride to ask others for help. I am a 36 year old father of 2 and husband to an amazing wife who is a stay at home mom with our daughters on top of being their homeschooling teacher, gymnastics coach, and an author. I am a Type 1 Diabetic of almost 24 years come November. For the last 10 years I have done charity work for CMN hospitals through Extra Life so to ask others for money for myself is both guilt inducing and hard to do.

Rewind to last year, I got a bone infection in my foot and spent 6 months out of work during treatment and recovery. Then in November I got sick and hospitalized for 4 days thanks to a combination of food poisoning, leading to thrush, then pneumonia, and finally starvation based DKA. In February I was laid off from my sales job and have been unable to find something since. 3 weeks ago I was stricken with a colon infection which once again landed me in DKA and the hospital for 5 days, this time though without insurance to offset any costs. I am not quite back to 100% but each day is better.

When it comes to the job search, things up til recently have not been fruitful.. Not due to lack of jobs, but simply I have been searching for a career to support my family. Which thankfully there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. After multiple no calls and rejections, an opportunity with an amazing company for a sales position has opened but it will be slow going in the beginning until I get my feet under me.

In the meantime there are things that still must be paid. Rent, medical bills (only can imagine what those will be), groceries, phone bill, internet, 2 back tires need replaced (starting to see wire on one), school fees and supplies etc. Just simply needing to live, nothing lavish or opulent. The only expenses that would be deemed "extra" would be hotels costs for 1 night in July and a couple in August for my wife and I to attend some conventions for her to sell her books and myself to support my charity work.

I just want to be transparent with people and for them to not feel jaded or bamboozled if they see pictures on social media. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
