Help Bee Fight Kidney Cancer
Donation protected
On September 18, 2013, Bee went to the ER due to stomach pains. At the ER they ran multiple tests, and Bee was discharged that evening. The next day Bee got a call that would change her life forever. The Doctor told her that they had found something on her right kidney. She was then referred to a specialist. After meeting with the specialist and more tests, the specialist informed her that she had Kidney Cancer and needed surgery. On November 13, 2013, she had a partial nephrectomy on her right kidney. Pathology came back to revel that it was Chromophobe Renal Cell Carcinoma. She was cancer free for seven years until October 2021. She then had to have emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder. At that time, the doctors found multiple spots on the right kidney. After numerous doctor appointments and procedures, it was confirmed that she has Chromophobe Renal Cell Carcinoma. On August 22, she will have her right kidney and Adrenal gland removed.
My sister has spent the last ten years helping those in need, whether it be housing and healthcare for the homeless or paving the way for mental health and suicide awareness in the State of New Mexico and around the country, to most recently advocating for our most vulnerable residents who are currently experiencing homelessness. She is the epitome of a hero. She is my hero, and I know that many people can relate and will agree. Bee has spent a lifetime helping those who needed "someone," and she has been that
"someone" for many.
The medical bills for these procedures and an upcoming surgery have taken a toll on her. Please help Bee through this difficult time so that she can focus on healing and recovery.
