Medically complex child's Surgery

Donation protected
It's already almost time for our brave boy's 5th surgery. We need help staying afloat, getting groceries, medical necessities, and gas for getting back & forth to the Children's hospital after our son's next surgery.

As most of you know, Elias was born with his abdominal organ outside his body, an "open book" pelvis, obstructive kidney disease, renal hypertension, hip dysplasia, and a neurogenic bladder (it doesn't function at all.) He also has type one diabetes and other chronic health issues. I am physically disabled, so we only have my spouse's income right now. We do not financially qualify for government assistance.

He needs a urostomy, an appendicovesicostomy, and ureter reimplantation to prevent further damage to his kidneys and bladder augmentation, and urethra reconstruction. He'll have to stay in the hospital for a couple weeks after the surgery with lots of follow-up visits, and that's if everything goes perfectly. This also, unfortunately, will not be his last surgery. He'll need more reconstruction and revisions throughout his whole life.

Insurance covers the majority of his surgery and hospital costs, but it does not cover certain things like replacement medical supplies, such as incontinence pads, glucometers, etc, if we run out early. The hospital helps with some of my (Elias' mom) meals while I'm there with him, but they can only help so much and it's not enough for me to be able to eat everyday. They have a Ronald McDonald house but it has extremely limited availability and are already booked out during his stay. ALL funds donated will be used ONLY for: medical expenses (supplies, medical bills, medical necessities not covered by insurance,) gas for back & forth/follow up appointments to Children's hospital, food so I can eat everyday during his hospital stay and subsequent stays after surgery, bills, groceries while income is lower during hospitalizations, and his "safe" foods (as a lot of them are expensive.)

Please do not feel obligated to donate. Sharing this fundraiser helps just as much, if you'd like to do that!

Thank you all so much! Elias and his family are extremely for any and all help we receive
