Beech Grove Historical Cemetery
Donation protected
Dear friends,
This is Kenny Verble, pastor at Beech Grove Church and Cemetery located along the Trail of Tears State Forest in Southern Illinois. Friends, I need your help, and this is the only way I know of to raise the needed funds.
Beech Grove Cemetery was founded, along with the church, around 1876. Over the years, the little old cemetery has grown in disrepair, and the church is trying to keep it from falling further. The cemetery is the churches biggest expense, and with increasing costs, those donations are even more important today. Unfortunately, those donations are down, but the need is still the same.
History: Beech Grove Cemetery and church has long dedicated it's ground to the people, God and especially to those who are less fortunate. There are approximately 200 graves in the cemetery dating back to the mid 1800's. Beech Grove cemetery contains many child grave's that were donated to the families of the deceased. The cemetery is funded by the church, it's congregation, and the good people who help with the upkeep of her. Please consider helping me with the preservation of this cemetery of our forefathers, children, and families who first came to the region.
