BEELINE TREE AND PLANT NURSERY

It's too easy to read climate reports, and diaster reports from around the world and feel helpless in the face of a changing climate, brought upon by increased carbon emissions.

Here is a project you can support that will help mitigate regional climate change by capturing Carbon Emissions safely.

For over 3 years I have been thinking about how I can use my skills and experience to help mitigate climate change. I have been growing plants, since childhood, and coupled with my experience working on Organic Farms I propose to set up a new carbon-neutral plant and tree nursery to combat the global shortage of seedlings.

We need a complete #system change to produce more diverse seedlings, in a plastic-free, low climate impact manner.

This involves growing more plants in fields, for example, saving a lot of plastic, and using non-fossil fuel-based fertilizers and pesticides.

Unfortunately, my own personal situation has resulted in a lack of means, necessary to raise the capital needed to start and I need help.

I am asking for a small part of the total start-up costs so that I can get started on this urgent mission and build up to 1 MILLION TREES AND PLANTS A YEAR.

We need MORE TREES, produced in a PLASTIC-FREE environment for increased shade and food for our cities and farms, that can:

Mixed tree and plant projects are much more likely to survive, and lessen pest pressures. Planting the right tree in the right place with pollinator support from native wildflowers ensures success.

Planting trees has proven benefits in changing local temperatures by up to 3 Degrees Celsius, and saving energy by providing wind shelter. Farmers and individuals can make a difference to their local environment, as well as regional climate change by planting more trees in urban and rural areas. Diverse tree selections not only provide Carbon capture but can also provide food sources for wildlife and humans!

Unfortunately, in the USA alone there is an annual shortfall of over 3 billion tree seedlings IF the US is to meet its climate mitigation net zero Carbon goals.

Moreover, we need to utilize organic, regenerative agriculture practices that do not rely on poisonous pesticides that kill bees, pollinators, and soil life. Traditional nursery-scale tree and plant growing relies on a lot of plastic, and fossil fuel-based machinery.

I aim to start a new plant and tree seedlings nursery based on regenerative agriculture principles, with sound water management, non-toxic, organic fertilizers, and minimal use of fossil fuel and fossil fuel-based products. Creating a resilient Closed Loop system will ensure that strong, resilient trees and plants can be produced safely.

I am an experienced project manager, content creator, writer, and trainer who has worked on organic, off-grid farms all over the world.

The plant nursery aims to be completely carbon-neutral within 6 years.

Renewable energy resources, landscaping, and sustainable water management will ensure that the nursery will be resilient to climate change and keep growing seedlings for generations to come.

I aim to produce over 1 million trees and plants annually by Year 6 of this project.
