"After 10 days at San Antonio Military Medical Center (formally BAMC) I am at my parents house. Being mostly quiet for nearly two weeks has been interesting to say the least. I am not at 100% but am well on the road to recovery. I still have a hole where the trach was, that should close on its own in a few days. Additionally, I still have stitches in my neck from Tuesday's surgery. Those will come out a week from today. I hope to go back to work the following week. I have plenty to do around the house to keep me more than busy, and I have missed somewhere around 30 bee removal calls in the past 11 days. I have a full plate ready for me!
The bolt that caught my neck was millimeters from the corotid artery, had it caught that, I wouldn't be here. The Great Creator, Healer, and Lord of All has guided every step of this process. I would not be alive, had His hand not been in this process.
Additional prayers for continued strengthening of my voice are appreciated." -ML
As you all know, the oil field hasn't been kind to many of us and Michael was no exception. He was blessed to have secured a job and was able to get insurance just recently but will be without a paycheck for a couple of months. He could really use our help! So as it says in the FFA creed, "in less need of charity and more of it when needed" this is one of those times when we need to pull together to get him through this tough time. Any amount is appreciated! You can also contribute to his account at Value Bank in Orange Grove. -Gina Hale
