Behind the Scenes Benefits (for Stylists)

Hi there!

We are a salon on West Main Street in Lansdale, PA advocating for fellow Stylists!

Outside of the Beauty Industry, it's not commonly known that Stylists do not have health benefits, be it that the Marketplace is unaffordable for individuals or smaller salons usually do not offer benefits for the same reason. We are normally compensated on a commissioned basis. Finding new clients, client retention and staying educated on methods/services is a large part of how Stylists stay in business which is another cost! (Don't forget to tip your Stylist!)

We, at the Hair N'Abstract by Christopher family have decided to start a fund for other local stylists who need assistance or need help getting medical, dental and vision insurance. We have partnered with an independent broker who will efficiently custom build plans for each individual in need. We would like to get a minimum of 4 individuals each health insurance for one year.

As of now, the plan is that this fund will be paid directly to the independent broker after allotments have been announced at the end of our BTSB Fundraiser tentatively December 2025. If we reach our goal sooner, allotments will be made sooner!

We would be off to an amazing start if everyone could donate even just $1. This would create the start of what we are hoping becomes a very large fund to help the local Stylist community. If you are so inspired and live outside of Montgomery County, PA, please start a local fund for your Stylists!
