Beirut Explosion Donation Relief

On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, a massive explosion not only wiped out Beirut, but absolutely devastated thousands of families. This horrific disaster caused over 150 people to lose their lives (death toll still rising),  left around 5,000 injured, and over 250,000 people homeless. For thousands of inhabitants, this just adds to the unbearable load of local conflicts causing thousands to struggle. Even before this crisis, citizens of Lebanon were faced with the worst economic crisis ever recorded in the area, causing millions to fall into poverty and even starve to death. Fighting the pandemic COVID19, the stress and suffering of Lebanese citizens have increased as COVID patients were not even accepted into hospitals due to the lack of medical equipment and space. The pain and agony experienced by hundreds of thousands of displaced citizens of Lebanon are nothing short of a catastrophe. We must work together in order to reach our goal to send over donations that will help desperate citizens see the light in a place they once called home.

Insight on hospitals: With the suffering economy, increase in COVID patients, and the fatal explosion, all hospitals in Lebanon are not only overfilled, but are running out of supplies. This is adding as a risk to the overall citizen health in Lebanon as hospitals may soon run out of medical care and even procedures needed to save lives. Our mission will allow us to stop hundreds of citizens from suffering and even dying on the side of the road because they cannot receive the help they need.
