Beirut Explosion - Family Aid Relief

On August 4, 2020 there was a massive explosion in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut. While the cause is still unknown the destruction is extreme. To date, the death toll is at 135 people, with more than 5,000 wounded. The damage is insurmountable. 

Many people, including members of our own immediate family have been impacted and displaced. The process to rebuild the city will be lengthy and will require significant funds. 

While the extent of damage across the city is still unclear, the homes and business of our family have been destroyed. Our uncle is an artisan chocolate chef, who has built his own business from a small shop. Both the store front, and kitchen were damaged significantly. Our grandma's apartment is located a mile from the epicenter, and has been destroyed.
