UT LCO Matching Donation Beirut Relief

WHAT IS HAPPENING? 
On August 4, a powerful explosion struck Beirut and left extensive damage in its wake. The deadly blast has prompted widespread search-and-rescue efforts and displaced an estimated 300,000 people from their homes. There is a reported 150 deaths and 5,000 injuries. This tragedy comes amidst a pandemic, a political uprising, and local economic crisis, resulting in a humanitarian emergency for the country.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Lebanese Cultural Organization at The University of Texas at Austin is raising donations that will be matched through a Big Tech Employer up to $10,000. Donations will be made to the Lebanese Red Cross and Beit El Baraka. We are not affiliated with these NGOs but they are verified through the employer and have strong records of distributing aid.
