Belcher Family battling cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Chelsea. I am the daughter of Heidi Belcher, below is her story...

Late July 2023 I found a large lump in the right side under arm. I had to be scheduled for a biopsy which came back on 8-16-2023 Malignant - Breast cancer. My next appointment was with my oncologist on 8-25-2023 where I received the official diagnosis of Stage 3B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma HER2+. Next more scans, bloodwork, and Imaging to come up with my treatment plan, getting a Port-A-Cath to receive the chemo treatments. My treatment consisted of 6 chemotherapy sessions over an 18-week period, these lasted from 4-6 hours and were administered every 21 days. I started in September 2023 and had the last one of these treatments 1-17-2024. I am now recovery from a bilateral (double mastectomy with axillary lymphadenectomy in the right side) that was on February 27th, beginning in April, I will be set up for radiation therapy which is 4-6 weeks everyday but weekends in Waycross, GA, along with 34 more weeks of chemo. There is still such a long road to go. Along with all my medical, Ron, my husband, has been dealing with his own medical battles, thanking the Lord our prayers were answered and the mass in his lung isn't cancer, we are still waiting to know just what type of bacteria it is so it can be treated properly, which could span a treatment plan of up to 9 months.
